Summer Season: Drink Highlight
Summer is the season of sunlight —
extended time outside, good hangs, hydrating foods, and refreshing beverages.
It is a time to recharge physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Summer is a gift — an opportunity to reconnect with our loved ones and enjoy the blessings around us. It grounds us and prepares us for what’s to come in the following months. Summer also gives us a chance to increase our vitamin D stores, while sunlight is plentiful, and nourish our bodies on a cellular level.
Think - sunlight, energy, healing, rest, and nourishment. We were designed for this.
Summer Recipes —
One of the best ways to support yourself throughout summer is through proper hydration and mineralization.
So here’s a favorite recipe of mine:
Blood Orange Adrenal Mocktail
The perfect late-morning mocktail balanced with real food sources of vitamin C, sodium, and potassium, featuring one of my favorite citrus fruits - blood orange.
1/2 cup fresh squeezed blood orange juice
1/2 lime (squeezed)
1/2 cup raw coconut water
1/2 tsp of flaky sea salt
ice cubes
**for extra support, add 1 capsule of magnesium bisglycinate powder - your adrenals will thank me later.
Instructions
Juice blood oranges until you have about ½ cup of fresh juice w/pulp. **Natalie’s blood orange juice is a great alternative to fresh squeezed.
Add blood orange juice, lime juice, coconut water, flaky sea salt, and ice to a glass.
Stir well and enjoy.
